What Is AI Virtual Try-On? From Outfit Inspiration to a Personal Preview
See how TryOnLoom turns an outfit idea into a private AI-powered visual preview, and what that preview can and cannot tell you.
Buying an outfit online often leaves one question unanswered: can I picture this look as a whole before I commit to it? Product photos show the clothes. They rarely show the decision you are actually trying to make.
TryOnLoom is built for that gap. It turns a model and one or more garment images into an AI-assisted visual preview that you can use to explore a styling direction. It is not a sizing tool, a body-measurement system, or a promise of how a garment will fit in real life.
The workflow in one view
The product follows one deliberate path:
- Start with a look from the Outfits catalog, or bring your own garment images into the Fitting room.
- Choose an included model or add a custom model when you have the right to use that image.
- Add a top and bottom, or one complete garment for a one-piece look.
- Generate an AI visual preview from those inputs.
- Save a result to your private history or download the version you want to keep.
The point is not to create a perfect digital copy of a physical fitting room. The point is to make the next clothing decision easier to see.
Start with an outfit idea
You can begin in two ways. The catalog is useful when you want to explore a complete, curated direction: inspect a look, review the individual garments, then send it to the Fitting room. This keeps the outfit context together instead of making you collect product images one by one.

When you already have a garment image, start in the Fitting room. Use Top & bottom for two separate pieces and One-piece for a single garment. One complete garment per image, a clean background, and minimal empty space give the system a clearer visual starting point.
Choose the person you want to explore the look with
TryOnLoom includes ready-to-use models so you can explore a look without preparing a photo first. You can also add a custom model from an image you are authorized to use. A clear, full-body image with the subject visible from head to toe creates a more useful visual reference than a cropped, dark, or heavily posed image.
This choice is about the visual question you want to answer. You might compare the same outfit on different model references, or use your own permitted image to see whether the overall direction is worth taking further.

Generate a visual preview
Once the model and required garment slots are ready, select Start try-on. TryOnLoom combines those inputs into a generated preview. The Fitting room shows the credit cost before generation; credits are consumed only after a usable result is produced. If a generation fails before a result is available, that attempt should not consume credits.
The generated image is a decision aid. It can help you compare colours, proportions, layering, and the overall mood of a look before you spend more time shopping, styling, or creating content around it.

Keep the results that help you decide
When a preview is useful, save it to your private Try-on history. There you can revisit, filter, download, or delete saved results. Saving is intentional: TryOnLoom does not turn your model images or generated previews into a public gallery.
This makes the workflow practical for more than one moment. You can return to a look later, compare directions, or keep a reference while deciding what to buy or wear.

What the preview can and cannot tell you
AI virtual try-on is most useful when you treat it honestly. It can show a plausible visual interpretation of a model and garment combination. It cannot measure your body, verify a garment's dimensions, guarantee a size, or predict real fabric weight, stretch, texture, and drape.
Use the preview to narrow choices and explore styling ideas. Use product measurements, retailer information, and a physical fitting when you need certainty about fit. Before uploading personal images, review the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.
Create a visual preview of your next look
Choose a model, add your garments, and generate an AI virtual try-on preview.
Results are visual previews and do not guarantee fit, sizing, or fabric accuracy.
